Main course
Moo Ping are Thai pork skewers that you marinate in soy sauce, fish sauce, palm sugar and garlic and grill. The meat tastes salty and sweet and gets a caramelized crust at the edges. Eat the skewers as a snack or with sticky rice for breakfast.

Ingredients
- 500 g pork shoulder, cut into strips 1-2 cm thick
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 2 tbsp palm sugar, crushed
- 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp oil, plus extra for brushing
- 12 wooden skewers, soaked in water
Instructions
- Mix the pork well in a bowl with the dark and light soy sauce, fish sauce, white pepper, palm sugar and garlic.
- Cover the meat and marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
- Soak the wooden skewers in water so they do not burn while grilling.
- Thread the marinated meat onto the soaked skewers.
- Preheat the grill and grill the skewers over medium heat. Brush them with a little oil while grilling to keep them from drying out.
- Turn the skewers regularly until the meat is cooked through and lightly caramelized.
- Arrange the grilled Moo Ping on a plate and serve hot.
